Precision application pens designed for the service and repair engineer to apply small quantities of cleaners, oils and coatings or where application in confined areas is required. Ideal for spot cleaning, repair and service of communication equipment, electrical and electronic control equipment, office equipment etc. All available as packs of 5 12ml pens.

Clear protective coating: a conformal coating to protect PCBs against environment attack after repair.

Connector lubricant: a contact lubricant for micro-switches, relays, edge connectors, especially suitable for gold contacts, resists attack and suppresses arcing.

Mechanical oil: clear oil containing molybdenum and good mechanical lubrication. Resists drain when moving parts at rest.

Surface mount flux: a quick- drying, mildly activated (RMA type) no clean flux for removing components and making quick repairs.

Cleaning solvent: removes greases, oils, flux residues and conformal coatings, fast drying leaving a clean dry surface.

The pen is fitted with a wide-angle actuator to give a protective film and an extension tube actuator for pinpoint application. This handy applicator is ideal for precision and control.

Applications

An application of spray flux to solder joints will aid reflow when heating to remove surface mount components from a circuit board. The flux should be applied to solder pads for the placement of new components, with hot air or hot gas, or using conventional solder and iron.

Spray flux can also be used as an anti-tarnish, protective film on bare copper or tinned tracks providing excellent solderability for up to six months. This solder flux is particularly recommended for precision products e.g. telecommunications or professional computers where a high degree of reliability is required.
