An axe is a handheld tool that is primarily used for chopping or splitting wood. These axes make splitting wood much easier. With various types of axes, they all hold the same characteristics of a flat head and a sharp on the other end. The handle is traditionally made from wood, but more modern axe handles can be made from fibreglass.
Splitting wood along the grain will require a log splitting axe, such as fibreglass or wood log splitting axe. Cutting trees down require efficiently striking the tree to properly cut through the wood. If the head is too thick then it won't cut through easily, but on the other hand, if it's too thin it won't be strong enough. This means a good felling axe offers the right balance of power and precision. Other axes within the range include a wood splitting wedge or small chopping axes.
