3M™ 782C fibre disc contains a 3M Precision Shaped Grain (PSG). Revolutionary engineered to offer up to twice the cut-rate surpassing other conventional discs in both performance and longevity lasting up to 6 times longer. A grinding aid is incorporated to keep the disc cool and further prolonging the disc life. It features a high-performance fibre backing allows for easy removal and cleaning but for optimal performance its recommended to use a backing pad.

Using the 3M™ 782C outperforms conventional ceramic discs. Designed to be used with a 3M™ backing pad with an angle grinder or sander. This fibre wheel is well-suited for edge chamfering bevelling, deburring and weld removal on mostly carbon steel.

The unique construction of the 782C is the perfect solution for the most challenging applications. Constructed by a stiff fibre backing and the 3M™ Ceramic Abrasive Grain blend is resin bonded to provide durability and enhanced tear resistance against the toughest applications. The added grinding aid allows for work on heat-sensitive alloys without warping the workpiece.

Using 3M™ precision-shaped grain technology to offer a higher initial and durability to outlast conventional ceramic fibre discs. The grit wears evenly and with the abrasive staying cooler and sharper, the PSG abrasive lasts significantly longer than conventional ceramic discs. These discs will help to step up production with an improved output on both light and heavy stock removal.

The 3M™ 782C heavy-duty fibre discs are great for weld removals, grinding and blending large and small metal areas. This could occur in industries such as farm and construction, automotive, ship and boat building, metal fabrication.

The 782C disc is for use on carbon steel, the 787C is used for stainless steel and other non-ferrous alloys such as aluminium and titanium (Sold at RS).

These abrasive discs are designed for use on metals and are not recommended to be used on wood.

When grinding metal or sanding, appropriate personal protection equipment should be worn. Gloves, eye protection and even respiratory protection are essential PPE for general purpose grinding and polishing applications.
