This versatile centre finder from RS PRO will help set up your machine tools accurately, finding the optimum position for the spindle in relation to the workpiece. Use it to find the centre of a bore or external cylindrical boss, or to align your tools with centre punch marks. The tool comes with a 40 mm dial indicator that remains visible during use. It's compatible with spindle speeds of up to 500 revolutions per minute (RPM) and can find the centre of internal diameters between 5 mm and 250 mm and external diameters between 1 mm and 250 mm. It's accurate to within 0.01 mm. It comes with three straight probes for internal use measuring 35 mm, 90 mm and 144 mm long, plus three bent probes of the same lengths for external use. There's also an anti-rotation rod and a spring-loaded centre point for locating a centre punch mark. Centre finders like this are commonly used with machine tools such as mills.
