What are test leads?
These leads are connecting cables which are used specifically for Multimeters, attaching a test probe to the end will allow the user to measure the required voltage, current or electrical resistance. As it assists operation with a multimeter, at least two of these types of electrical values are measured.
What are test probes?
Connecting to multimeters, a set of test probes will measure the device or target for an accurate reading, such as voltage or current. Due to the flexibility and quality produced by Pomona, each probe provides much-needed precision.
What are the differences between safety categories?
For protection, safety categories are an important attribute which must be taken into consideration for any electronic test equipment. With any category (i.e CAT II, CAT III), a higher voltage will indicate a higher level of protection. As an example, a test probe providing CAT III 1000 V, provides a higher degree of protection than a CAT III 600 V probe.

Pomona Multimeter Leads, Sheathed Banana Jack Connectors, 10A Current Rating - 1632758
Take a good look at your circuits with these multimeter leads from Pomona. Their nickel-plated brass tips efficiently conduct electricity, keeping power moving through your setup for reliable testing. As the probes tackle voltages up to 1000V, they carry intense loads without a hitch to work with many everyday power supplies. Hooking the products up to regulation multimeters is no issue, thanks to their widely compatible sheathed banana plug connectors. With their stranded wires, the leads easily flex to test components in hard-to-reach areas.
Features & Benefits
Ergonomic rubber grip for comfortable hold during long work sessions
Stands up to surge voltages of 6kV, reducing the risk of damage from power faults
Nickel-plated copper plug spring to minimise wear from repeat connections
