If you need a durable rod that can hold up in harsh conditions, turn to this opaque fluoroplastics PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) rod from the RS PRO range. It's 500 mm long and 65 mm in diameter.
This rod is highly resistant to chemicals and radiation, thanks to its PTFE construction. Its dielectric properties make it an excellent insulator, and it can withstand temperatures as high as +260°C. It has a high tensile strength of 25 MPa and is low-friction and low-adhesion.
Part of the RS PRO series, the rod is tested by engineers to give you full confidence in its performance. It meets DIN (Deutsches Institut für Nurmung, German Institute for Standardization) and ASTM-D (American Society for Testing and Materials) standards for plastic and elastomer testing. A UL 94 V-0 flammability rating from the science safety company Underwriters Laboratories means it's flame-retardant.
The fluoroplastics PTFE rod is suitable for pipe lining, high-frequency insulation and etching plates.
