RS PRO Synthetic Resin Bonded Paper Sheet: SRBP
RS PRO introduces the range of synthetic resin bonded paper sheets (SRBP) in different thickness options. These synthetic resin sheets, also known as plastic laminate, have great mechanical strength, low water absorption and offers resistance to corrosion from weather and chemicals. These resin sheets are ideal for situations where electrical insulation is needed and provide a low-cost option when a strong and rigid non-metallic sheet is required.
Features and Benefits
• Commercial quality paper-based laminate means you get a fantastic product whilst still keeping your costs low
• Ideal for low voltage installations, jigs and fixtures
• Synthetic resin makes for a very tough and durable material making it resistant to weather changes and chemicals
• SRBP is an insulator so makes a perfect replacement for metallic sheets when electrical insulation is required
• Maximum working temperature of 90°C, with short periods up to 120°C
• Density of 1.35 g/cm³
• Thickness is 0.8mm

Applications
Synthetic resin bonded paper sheets, also known as phenolic paper laminate sheets, are primarily used as electrical insulation components, for example, bobbins, coil formers, insulating spacers and sleeving due to their great insulation properties. Commonly found in a variety of workplaces for different applications such as structural components, terminals boards, mounting plates, busbar supports and cable supports.
What is Laminated Plastic?
This type of plastic is a special form of polymer-matrix composite consisting of layers of reinforcing materials that have been impregnated with thermosetting resins, bonded together and cured under heat and pressure. Laminated plastics are available in sheet, tube and rod forms which can be cut and machined for a variety of uses.
