Lithium iron phosphate rechargeable batteries is a derivative battery of the Lithium-ion family, made up of a differing chemistry. The main benefit of using this type of battery compared to conventional lead acid ones is the fact that it offers twice the battery capacity in the same amount of space. LiFePO4 batteries also function at a much lower resistance, which in turn offers much faster recharge times, making them ideal for use in electric scooters and other energy solutions like a solar power storage system.
