The ANSMANN 18650 lithium ion rechargeable battery is a reliable, safe quality battery. Compared to the standard NiMH battery types, Li-Ion batteries have double the energy density.
The battery features a safety board to shield the cell from overload, short circuit and deep discharge, therefore protecting the battery from misue adnd delivering a longer lfetime use for the cell. This inclusion makes the battery 3-4mm longer than an 18650 cell.
The ANSMANN 18650 Lithium-ion battery is known for its long-lasting capabilities, able to be recharged up to 2000 times and ideal for operating under tougher conditions. Due to its low self-discharge the cell retains energy for longer durations. This is reinforced with an impressive power to weight ratio compared to other battery technologies such as NiCD, NiMH or PB.
This Li-Ion battery also features a side-mounted micro-USB port for charging the cell from USB power sources including smartphone chargers and USB ports in computers for added convenience.

Because of the integrated safety board, the battery is longer in size compared to the unprotected 18650 Li-Ion batteries. It is approximately 3 - 4 mm longer.
