RS PRO Countersunk Head Structural Lock Blind Rivet

RS PRO introduces a fantastic range of countersunk head structural lock blind rivets. Designed to be easily installed and able to secure joints with short clamp lengths, these rivets are engineered to create a permanent mechanical fastening, they expand into a pre-drilled hole to create a strong and solid hold. The blind rivet can be installed entirely from one side of the material when access is limited to the fixing, unlike machine screws and nuts. Designed to sit just below the surface of the material after being set by the rivet gun, these rivets are particularly suited to situations where a non-interference fit is required.

Made from steel to ensure weather proofing and corrosion resistance to elongate the life of your rivets whilst keeping it lightweight and strong. These steel rivets have a wide grip range with excellent load spread setting and mandrel locking system.

Used predominantly in white goods, electronics and HVAC and storage solutions.

Features and Benefits

  • Made from steel for solid rivets and structural strength

  • Easy and clean installation

  • Can be used where only one side of the application is accessible

  • Increased grip range 4.5 mm – 12.1 mm

  • Creates a permanent and high tensile structural rivet joint with little effort

  • Body length 16 mm

  • Applications

Rivets are mechanical fasteners that consist of a smooth cylindrical shaft with a head on one end and tail at the opposite end to the head. On the installation, a riveter places a rivet in a pre-drilled hole, and the tail is set or bucked (i.e. deformed) with a rivet gun, rivet tool or pneumatic hammer so that it expands to about 1.5 - 2 times the original shaft diameter, holding the rivet in place. They are used to permanently join two steel, aluminium or copper plates usually in mechanical applications where it is imperative that joints do not become loose and cause failure. As these are countersunk head rivets they are ideal for environments where a non-interference finish is necessary. Most common, countersunk head rivet applications include:

    White goods

    Electronics

    DIY

    General engineering

    HVAC

    Aviation, aerospace, and automotive
