Door Latches

Typically used for internal doors, latches are an ideal solution for where a lock is not usually required. Suitable for use with most levers or knobs door latches can provide a reliable method for holding a door closed and, in some instances, open. Door latches typically hold two surfaces together by using a strike plate on one side with a latch on the other.

Door latches come in a variety of forms and can be used for a wide range of door types such as typical internal doors, cupboard and box storage with hinged lids as well as external applications such as gates. A toggle latches calibrated cam action ensures that when the latch is closed, it remains locked in place. Releasing the secure lock requires little effort on behalf of the user, thanks to the built-in lever action. Because of this combination of dependability and easy access, they are often used in toolboxes or other high load containers.

Toggle Latches

Unlike standard latches, a toggle latch can be used to hold doors open/closed as well as to hold objects in place. Their unique construction layout allows them to apply pressure in a variety of directions depending on the toggles orientation.

Some toggle latches feature a hammer that is pressed down when the latch is engaged to hold objects in place, others feature a metal loop that can mate with a hook or post to pull when engaged. This versatility allows toggle latches to be used in a wide range of applications in both commercial and residential applications.

Materials and Finish
