Losing count of things? This 4-digit mechanical counter from the RS PRO range is a compact piece of kit that you can use for a wide range of tallying applications.

Mechanical counters share the same characteristics as digital counters, but they’re built using only mechanical components. Invented before the days of electronics, mechanical counters are still used today thanks to their simple functionality and user-friendly design.

Like all mechanical counters, this 4-digit model doesn’t require any power. That's because it works on movement alone, logging one count for each press of the button. This counter is portable, so you can take it with you anywhere and is used for traffic surveying, footfall crowd counting or logging point-of-sale transactions.

The counter also has a surface mount so it can stand on its own, making this a practical addition to any desk.
