The ON Semiconductor current sense amplifier offers gains of 20 V/V. These parts can measure voltage across shunts at common mode voltages from −0.1 V to 40 V, independent of supply voltage. This helps measuring of fast transients and allows the same type of part to be used for high side and low side current sensing.
