RS PRO Silicone Side Drum Heater, 125 x 800mm, 25l

This silicone drum heater from RS PRO lets you heat and reduce the viscosity of liquids stored in plastic or metal drums. It has a power rating of 300 W and measures 800 mm long by 125 mm wide.

It has a simple spring fixing and a 2 m power cable for ease of use. The silicone rubber insulation and double insulated construction offer good heat resistance and temperature control, and a capillary thermostat maintains temperatures between 0°C and +90°C. You can use this heating element for drums between 25 and 200 litres, and up to three can be applied at once to a 200-litre drum to speed or even out heat distribution. It's also IP40 rated for protection against tools and wires greater than 1 mm in size.

This drum heater makes it easier to pour or pump materials such as soaps, fats, foodstuffs, chemicals and varnishes.
