This earth tester is a clamp-type instrument for Rapid stakeless measurement of earth ground loop resistance and AC leakage current in locations where driving auxiliary stakes is impractical. It operates from battery power and is intended for indoor and outdoor field use on multi-grounded systems, enabling resistance checks without disconnecting earthing conductors.

The jaw accepts conductors up to approximately 40mm diameter to encircle busbars and bundled earth leads.

The clamp injects a known voltage and measures the resulting current around the conductor to calculate loop resistance without auxiliary stakes.

It operates between -10 °C and +50 °C with specified humidity ranges and an ingress protection rating of IP30 with the jaw closed.

The instrument meets CAT IV 600V and CAT III 1000V measurement-category requirements for use on distribution systems.

A selectable band-pass filter reduces unwanted noise and improves measurement stability across the specified 40 Hz–1 kHz frequency range.
