The UC-232A is a USB cable adapter that provides an external plug and play RS232 serial connection for various applications that support USB specification. It comes with a standard DB-9 male connector for the peripherals to plug into and an attached 35 cm USB cable with type A plug for connecting to a PC. The cable adapter eliminates the setup hassle found with traditional serial port connections. It does so by making the USB interface transparent to the peripherals which allows them to easily interface with the USB. The UC-232 supports energy saving suspend and resume operations.
