It's designed to change an input supply between 4.5 and 36V DC to a stable voltage between 2 and 35V DC, with a maximum output of 350mA. This improves the performance of your lights and prevents them from overheating. For versatility, this unit lets you select from two dimming options, including analogue voltage and digital pulse-width modulation signals.
