It's fitted with a current-limiting feature that interrupts the circuit rapidly in the event of a short circuit, reducing the let-through electrical energy and overload currents that can damage equipment. What's the difference between an MCB and a fuse?


Both an MCB and a fuse are designed to interrupt a circuit to protect personnel and equipment in the event of an overcurrent.
