Can I override this MCB?


Yes, if you need to override this device during testing or maintenance, hold the handle in the ON position. This keeps the circuit closed where it would otherwise trip.

How do MCBs work?


MCBs like this one contain a bimetallic strip that bends when overcurrent heats it up. As it bends, it releases the internal latch that opens the contacts and turns off your system. Manually resetting the latch turns your machinery back on.
