Introducing from Weller, this replacement Brass wool acts as a gentle tip cleaner when using lead-free solder. A dry tip cleaner can maintain the temperature in the tip of your soldering iron. It does this by leaving a small amount of solder on the tip to reduce any oxidation compared to using a wet sponge.
