Belden individually shielded pairs offer great protection against any electromagnetic interference. The shielding also prevents neighbouring pairs from any crosstalk. Built with a durable PVC outer jacket, the cable is protected from water, oils and chemical spills.

Why is shielding used in cables?
Cables which are screened, or shielded, are better protected again electromagnetic interference (EMI) than unshielded versions. EMI refers to electrical noise which is conducted or radiated, and it can negatively affect the functioning of devices and equipment. Screening reduces crosstalk between cables (signal leakage), ensuring higher signal integrity.
What is Beldfoil?
Beldfoil is an aluminium/polyester foil which is used to shield Belden cables. This innovative patented design is highly effective for providing electrostatic shielding, strength, and extra insulation. It is perfectly suited for audio, communication, and data cabling. The Z-foil shield uses a shorting fold and an isolation fold which minimises signal radiation and defends against external interference.
