RS PRO 1 Phase 2.4 kVA Variac, 240 V ac, 10 A
This single-phase RS PRO portable-style variac electrical transformer features one winding. It has an enclosed construction that’s small and light with lower leakage reactance than transformers with two windings.
Highly efficient, the transformer has no waveform distortion, a smooth linear output and overload capacity. With a low operating torque and low magnetising current, it has sublime regulation. The transformer reverses your electrical connections through a silver-plated commutator. It has a continuously variable alternating current output voltage, operating with a primary voltage rating of 240 V ac.
This transformer comes from RS PRO’s professional range of ’Varivolt’ transformers. It’s commonly used for power transmission and distribution, power conversions and audio systems both around the house and in industrial settings. It’s also compliant with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) standards for safety.
