ABB Gemini range is revolutionising the market of low voltage electric insulating switchboards. They are the first switchboard made of thermoplastic material, to which the co-injection moulding technique gives the same mechanical characteristics as polyester. This means that it is sturdy, with its rigid covering and expanded internal core.
The thermoplastic wall-mounted enclosures have IP66 ° of protection (IP30 with the door open and with the appropriate components installed) and a high resistance to chemical and atmospheric agents.
Features and Benefits
• Does not contain fibreglass, that with time rises to the surface, jeopardising operation and safety • IP66 protection meaning that they have protection against accidental contact and foreign bodies and powerful water jets • Operating temperature of -25°C to +100°C • 100% recyclable • Has a resistance to abnormal heat and fire up to 750°C • Snap-on mounting of all components in compliance with safety standards • Doors supplied with 2 standard double bit locks (3 for sizes 5 and 6) which can be replaced with locks for ciphered key or with square/triangular impression
Typical Applications
The wall boxes are designed for mounting on your wall. They are used for low voltage automation and distribution, moulded-case circuit breakers, modular circuit breakers, monitoring, control and signalling devices, wiring ducts and electrical connection systems.
Note
Gland plates and chassis plates are not supplied with these wall boxes.
