Keep yourself and your equipment safe from overcurrents with this MCB from Schneider Electric. It trips when it encounters three to five times the rated current of 3A. With its type B tripping characteristics, this breaker is ideal for protecting resistive loads such as lighting or electronic circuits. A 240V AC voltage rating makes it suitable for use with the UK mains supply. As the MCB is mountable on a DIN rail, it helps you to build a tidy system. What's the difference between an MCB and a fuse?


Both an MCB and a fuse protect equipment against damage from overcurrents and people from electric shock. The main difference is that a fuse is single-use and always has to be replaced once blown. On the other hand, you can reset a tripped MCB after you've identified and fixed the fault that caused it to cut the electrical flow.
