Latching relays operate when they detect an impulse from a signal voltage. The impulse can be provided via a push button or push switch. The first pulse operates the relay and latches it to its set state, the next operation returns the relay to its reset state. These latching relays are intended for the control of lighting circuits in the home, business premises and commercial buildings. They have a quiet operation and high quiescent current, 100 mA.
